A couple of matches into the new Cambridge league season for the first teams and a good start all round.
The new look ladies team drew their first match at Ely and were very unlucky to lose two tie-breaks. Their first home match of the season resulted in a 5-3 win against Cambourne (with the first pair only dropping two games!). So a good start to 2014.
The mens team started the season with two home games and used it to their advantage. Their first match was a 7-1 win against Risbygate. Histon were the opponents for match two and, after trailing 3-1 at half time managed to turn it around for an impressive 5-3 win. Probably one of the best comebacks in a longtime – keeping the spectator on the edge of her seat!!
So with 7 points out of a possible 8, a good start all around for the women and men in their respective third divisions.
